Homage to Herge

This collection is my love letter to Hergé.

To the boy I was, sitting cross-legged on the floor, lost in Tintin's world of adventure, courage and imagination.

Each piece brings together Tintin and Milou with the soundtrack of my life - the songs that were playing in my head, on my headphones, in my bedroom, on the terraces, in the back of clubs, on long walks and late nights.

From The Police to The Jam, from Northern Soul to Joy Division, from hip hop to punk.

Pop culture, films, old cartoons, record sleeves, street art, posters, graffiti - they all live in the same world for me. A world where childhood memories and growing-up collide.

My Homage to Hergé collection celebrates that collision.

I take the characters and stories that meant so much to me and place them in the messy, noisy, colourful, sometimes beautiful reality of contemporary life.

The paintings are layered with texture, handwritten lyrics, splashes of paint, scratches, stencils, and found imagery.

They are part nostalgia, part rebellion, part gratitude.

This collection is for anyone who grew up with a head full of dreams, a pocket full of comics, and a soundtrack for every chapter of their life.
